NLF is a
nondiscriminatory organization. We do not accept or reject applicants
on the basis of race, sex, religion, color, national origin, ancestry,
physical handicap or medical condition. All families are welcome to apply.
General
Criteria for Enrollment in all programs:
- An
agreement with the organization's philosophy and policies.
- An
agreement to help further the development of both the child and
NLF through parent participation.
- Because
NLF's enrollment fees do not cover the full costs of running the programs,
NLF requires parents to participate in a certain number of events per
year (as described below). Parents who cannot or choose not to participate
will be charged a "non-participatory" fee as indicated in our Fee
Schedule section.
Preschool
Childcare Program Requirements:
- Children
must be at least 2 1/2 years old.
- Children
must be toilet trained.
- Children
must be fully immunized prior to enrollment.
- Parents
must obtain a physician's report and immunization record to certify
their child's readiness for our childcare program.
- Parents
are required to participate in 12 activities for a single-parent
family and 18 activities for a two-parent family.
- Parents
are required to participate in all major fundraising events and
general meetings.
After
School Program Requirements:
- Children
must be in kindergarten through fifth grade.
- Parents
are required to participate in at least six activities which include
all major fundraising events.
- Parents
are required to attend general meetings.
