NLF receives
partial funding from the California Department of Education. Priority
enrollment and fees are determined according to a family's size, income
and need, as specified by State regulations. Qualifying low income families
can apply for State subsidies at the time of enrollment. Families who
do not qualify for State subsidies will pay private fees for full-time,
part-time or half-day care based on our sliding fee scale which is determined
by the number of people in the household and their gross monthly income.
Families
who do not wish to disclose their income will be charged the maximum
fees for their respective program. In addition, parents who are
unable or choose not to participate in the minimum number of required
participatory activities will have an additional "non-participatory"
fee added to their rates.

- $6.60 per hour will be charged to all families choosing not to participate in a minimum of 6 activities per school year. Participating families must help on each of NLF's three major fundraising events.
