Nihonmachi Little Friends (NLF) is a unique community-oriented childcare organization. It was founded on the principle of active parent involvement in the development of its programs. By making parent participation a mandatory part of a child’s enrollment, staff and parents work together to maintain a high quality preschool with bilingual education. In addition, by being actively involved in community and childcare affairs and through fundraising, NLF has been able to provide more services to young children and their families.

Under the Parent Participation Contract, it is my understanding that as a parent of a child attending NLF, it is mandatory that I participate in the various activities of the organization and program. I understand that a lack of participation will be grounds for suspension or the dropping of my child.

In a one-year period, I will participate in a minimum of:

___________ Eighteeen(18) activities for a two-parent family

Mandatory Activities:

• All major fundraising activities (chocolate/gift wrap sales, Cherry Blossom Festival, Theater Performance, etc.)
• General Meetings

_______ Work Days (thorough cleaning and repairing of the program site)
