We consistently have several fundraising and volunteer programs in place, and encourage you and/or your business to become an NLF partner. Through your support of a monetary or in-kind donation or volunteer hours, we can continue to meet the growing needs our children and the community in which they live.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations of any size can be designated to benefit the program or fundraising campaign of your choice. Listed below are a few suggestions.

• Capital Campaign raises funds for the purchase of a permanent home for NLF
• United Way Designation
• Corporate Matching Funds
• NLF Preschool — Bush Site
• NLF Preschool — Sutter Site
• NLF After School Program
• Graduation Activities Fund
• Teacher Appreciation Fund

Corporate Sponsorships are mutually beneficial to all parties involved. A sponsorship not only enables businesses to give something back to the community, but also provides marketing opportunities for their products. For example, a sponsorship of the Children’s Village during the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival provides hours of fun and cultural understanding to children who participate, and adds valuable exposure for the sponsoring company.

In-Kind Donations

In-Kind donations most often benefit specific projects and areas of need. Each NLF site posts a wish list on the parent table. Following are a few on-going needs to help stimulate your imagination.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart and soul of NLF. Whether it is just a few hours or a leadership role, your direct participation provides the manpower necessary to make it all happen. Volunteers are in constant demand, and listed below are a few examples of exciting opportunities where you can make a difference.

• Parents' Night Out (Friday Night Respite): An affordable evening childcare program where parents can leave their children in a safe, fun envirmonment while they enjoy a night out.
• Special Events: A wide variety of opportunities exist from manning food booths to collecting entry tickets to creating stage sets.
• Volunteer Committees: Our committees provide the foundation for all NLF accomplishments and happenings.
• Grant Writing: The expertise of an experienced grant writer can make a significant difference in the support we receive.
• Administrative Work for Capital Campaign

  This is the premiere pathway for donors to give to the organization of their choice, and receive goods or services in return. Select an organization on the mrgoodbucks site, select a retailer in the site's shopping mall and shop 'till you drop. We will receive a percentage of each purchase.

• Donate through helping.org.
  helping.org is a non-profit intitiative which provides a safe, secure and easy way to make a donation. We recieve 100% of all donations made to NLF through helping.org.
