Bilingual Preschool Teacher
Job
Description
- General
supervision of preschool-aged children (2 1/2 - 5 years) in a Japanese
bilingual and multicultural childcare center
- Supervise
both indoor and outdoor activities
- Plan
and conduct small learning-group activities
- Plan
and lead large-group music period
- Maintain
classroom
- Work
closely with other teaching staff in a team teaching situation
- Work
with parents and staff in extracurricular activities of the program
Qualifications
- Previous
experience working with young children is required
- Bilingual
(Japanese and English), native Japanese speaker preferred
- Minimum
of 12 units in Early Childhood Education or related courses with BA desgree preferred
Salary/Benefits
- Based on education and experience (full-time, 8
hours per day)

P/T After School Teacher
Job
Description
- Afternoon
part-time teacher, Monday to Friday from 1:30pm - 6:00pm
- Work
with K- 5th graders in a Japanese bilingual, multicultural childcare center
- Supervise
both indoor and outdoor activities
- Plan
and conduct appropriate activities for a group of 12 - 14 students
- Assist students with homework
- Maintain
classroom
- Work closely
with other staff and parents in extracurricular activities of the program
Qualifications
- Previous
experience working with elementary school-age children
- Ability to work in team-teaching situation is required
- Educational background in early childhood, elementary education or related courses is preferred, but not required
- Minimum
of 12 units in Early Childhood Education or related courses preferred
